Winery Münzberg Pinot Brut 2020

Palatinate, Germany, Sparkling wine, wine cuvée
0.75 l

The limestone soils of the southern Palatinate form the basis for the fine and finest wines of the Burgundy family: Pinot Noir and Pinot Blanc from these same soils are the basis for the elegant and powerful sparkling wine from the Münzberg winery in the Palatinate. It offers Pinot Blanc pear fruit, wrapped in a rich flavour package with spicy, herbal, earthy and nutty tones, fine yeast brioche and animating acidity. Juiciness, tension and plenty of grip, combined with the fine and remarkably fine mousseux, create a flow that is hard to resist and a stature that we can also imagine as a food companion to quiche lorraine and or a tarte flambée (with pear and bleu de chèvre!).

Münzberg Winery

The Münzberg is located near the Palatinate town of Landau - in the midst of a gently rolling cultural landscape characterised by fruit trees and vineyards. Named after coins found in Roman times, the mountain is home to the vineyard of the same name. It is run by the Keßler family.
