The Les Genevrières 1er Cru vineyard is a striking example of the not always conclusive quality pyramid in Burgundy. Here we have a wine with a distinct Grand Cru character. The 2023 vintage from Louis Latour shows its greatness right from the start. A whole bouquet of aromas wafts out of the glass. Intense notes of apricots, honey, and roasted almonds are complemented by great complexity and concentration on the palate. The creamy texture flows almost silkily over the tongue! The long finish offers plenty of minerality and salinity. With its aromatics and intensity, it is the perfect partner for lobster or complex truffle dishes.
