Pecchenino Barolo Bussia DOCG 2020
The Nebbiolo comes exclusively from Bussia, particularly the area near the hamlet of Corsini. The soil is calcareous and clayey with brownish marls. The grapes were destemmed and fermented in stainless steel tanks. After malolactic fermentation, the Barolo was transferred into large oak casks and cement. The garnet-red wine has a complex, intense bouquet of ripe sweet cherries and dried raspberries, violet blossoms and licorice, tobacco, underbrush, and foliage, mingling with dried orange peel. On the palate, the wine shows both finesse and power. From a warm vintage, it is already open and inviting, with wonderful fullness.
