Marchesi di Gresy Barbaresco Camp Gros Martinenga Riserva 2011

The 2011 vintage of this Barbaresco from the single vineyard Camp Gros Martinenga is a great success for Marchesi di Gresy. The Riserva was vinified traditionally. It was first aged in barriques, then in larger Slavonian oak barrels. This vintage is certainly one of the most open and inviting. The Riserva is smooth and elegant, refined and sensual. The nose is dominated by notes of ripe red berries, cherries and plums, accompanied by subtle hints of beeswax, dried hay, menthol and cinchona bark. On the palate, the Barbaresco delights with powerful yet fine tannins and a serious structure. The Nebbiolo is elegant, sensual and subtle.
