Winemakers from Argentina

Bodega Salentein

The Val de Uva in the Argentinean province of Mendoza is considered the highest wine-growing area in the world. In the 17th century, Jesuits planted the first vines here at the foot of the Andes. Today, it is Bodega Salentein that makes use of the characteristics of this unique landscape to produce internationally renowned top wines.

CHACRA

Basically, the Argentinian winery Chacra has its roots in New York. It was precisely there that Piero Incisa della Rocchetta discovered a Pinot Noir at a wine tasting, which drew his attention to the Río Negro region in Patagonia and quickly sparked a new passion.

Cheval des Andes

When the best of the Old World and the New World come together to make an outstanding wine, the label could read "Cheval des Andes". This refers to the joint venture founded in 1999 between Château Cheval Blanc and Terrazas de Los Andes from the Mendoza region in Argentina.

Viña Cobos

Paul Hobbs is undoubtedly one of the winemaking personalities who first brought Californian viticulture to the internationally recognised level it is today. The Hobbs story in Argentina was similar.
