Kreuznacher Kahlenberg, Roxheimer Höllenpfad, Krötenötenpfuhl or Dellchen. Dönnhoff has ten large vineyards that are among the best in the region - and produces Rieslings of international renown on volcanic and slate rock.
As early as the second half of the 18th century, records report "early grape blossom" and a "rich grape harvest".
The focus on excellent single-vineyard Rieslings began primarily in the early 20th century, with the second generation.
Helmut Dönnhoff, the founder's grandson, took over in 1971.
Some first-class sites were acquired, others were recultivated, because the "basis for exceptional wines are exceptional vineyards."
