The Loerschs grow Rieslings up to 100 years old in the best vineyards of the Middle Moselle. Alexander Loersch uses them to produce outstanding wines with a strong character - from basic to great growths.

The winery is located in the Zummethöhe district of Leiwen. From there, especially from the "Riesling Skylounge", you have an excellent view of one of the most beautiful Moselle loops with twelve famous slate steep slopes and seven wine-growing villages. Some of the estate's own plots can also be seen from here.

The winery, which can be traced back to 1640, has around eight hectares with 97% Riesling and 3% Pinot Noir. A good half of the vineyards are cultivated on steep slopes. The Trittenheimer Apotheke alone has up to 70°. Loersch's plots are planted with ungrafted vines between 80 and 100 years old. There are also old vines, for example in the Dhroner Hofberg, the Piesporter Goldtröpfchen and the Neumagener Rosengärtchen. Alexander Loersch, who took over the management of the estate from his father Ernst-Albrecht in 2009 but has been producing the wines since 2002, ferments all wines spontaneously and ages them classically in the Fuder. Loersch's wines are characterised by precision, character and freshness. He masters all the different styles of wine, from dry to semi-dry to Auslese.
