A rather atypical and relatively high Merlot content for Pauillac of up to 40% ensures a ripe and very opulent fruit in this Pontet Canet vintage. The wine has a pleasingly moderate proportion of new wood of just over 50%, which makes it appear very fine and balanced despite its high concentration. In general, a great harmony of the individual parameters dominates here. Everything appears smooth, fine and polished without being boring. It is simply a great, somewhat different Pauillac with a great future.

Château Pontet-Canet in Pauillac has been in existence since the 18th century. Since 1975, it has been run by the Tesseron family, who have consistently developed it into one of the best wine estates in the world. Justine Tesseron, the third generation, is currently at the helm.
