The 2020 d'Armailhac has a full and expressive nose with aromas of black fruits and subtle hints of roasted coffee beans. The bouquet reveals flavours of sour cherries and dark berries. It shows perfectly ripe fruit and is dense on the palate, where hints of blackcurrant and liquorice are combined, underpinned by ample, well-developed tannins. Great freshness emphasises the long and harmonious finish.

Château d'Armailhac

In Paulliac, in the best neighbourhood between Mouton Rothschild in the north and Pontet-Canet in the south, is the Cinquième Grand Cru Classé Château d'Armailhac. It was acquired in 1933 by Baron Philippe de Rothschild (Mouton Rothschild, among others).
