Château Trottevieille
Château Trottevieille was first mentioned in the 15th century. The vineyard, which belongs to the Castéjas family, still has 140-year-old vines and produces a wine with an unusually high Cabernet Franc content.

Certainly one of the best "Trotte Vieille' of all time, rightly awarded 98 points by James Suckling and Jeb Dunnuck! It is a fantastic "Saint-Émilion Premier Grand Cru Classé B' with incredible density in colour and aroma. Black cherries, plums, violets, truffles and limestone are just as present here as chocolate, smoke, oak bark and undergrowth. Concentrated and focused on the palate, still austere, but with a silky beautiful texture, a dense, fantastic extract and magnificent length. A wine for the next 35 years and more.
