An incredibly intense yet never intrusive bouquet with juicy yellow fruit as the basis, embedded in herbal and mineral tones, give this 2019 Doosberg the special seriousness and depth that makes the wines of Peter Jakob Kühn unmistakable. The quartzite-infused loess-loam soil of the plot directly below the Hallgarten ensures sufficient water supply even in dry years. At least 12 months in large wooden barrels on the full lees and a further 6 months on the fine lees weave salty, dense minerality, aromatic complexity and lively acidity into an enormously multi-layered whole.
