The open, wind-exposed site at around 160 meters above sea level is one of the main advantages of the Oestricher Doosberg. The regular wind dries the vines quickly after rain, even in the fall, thus ensuring healthy grapes and, indirectly, reliable physiological ripeness. In 2020, the Doosberg combines seductively juicy yellow fruit with floral notes and - one might say: naturally! - the deep, serious minerality that is so typical of Rieslings from Peter Jakob Kühn. Slate notes, citric tones, iodine saltiness - the Doosberg is incredibly multifaceted and develops in the glass over hours. A highly exciting Riesling that STEPHAN REINHARDT has rated at 96-97 points.
