After five years of ageing, the 2018 "BIN 389" is showing the first signs of a development from full cherry and cassis fruit as well as coconut and vanilla to more subtle notes. Hints of pipe tobacco, Indian spices and herbs become clear. There are also notes of mocha and dark chocolate and a noble tannin. The "BIN 389" cuvée, which consists of 57% Cabernet Franc and 43% Syrah in this vintage, is deep and complex, juicy and hedonistic. JAMES SUCKLING gives it 97 points!
