This wine was called "Wachstum Bodenstein? until the 2021 vintage, but has now been shortened to "Bodenstein?. It comes from the Achleiten vineyard Hochsaiben, 460 meters above sea level, which Toni Bodenstein planted with a Selection Massale of over 100-year-old Rheingau and Mosel Riesling genetics. His plan used to be met with incomprehension. Today, Toni Bodenstein's gamble is paying off. His 2022 Riesling is a brilliant, crystal-clear wine that alternates between minerality and citrus notes, some stone fruit and herbs. On the palate, it is pure energy, full of bright, clear fruit and rock aromas.
