The 2022 version of the "Bodenstein Grüner Veltliner Smaragd? fits seamlessly into the exceptional quality of Toni Bodenstein's wines and also into the unique aromatics of the wine, which was called "Wachstum Bodenstein? until the 2021 vintage, but has now been shortened to "Bodenstein?. It combines notes of local pome and stone fruit with slightly tropical aromas of mango, melon and a little carambola. There is also a little smoke and tobacco on the one hand and something citrusy and spicy on the other. Above all, however, the deep minerality and the fine extract, the salty and spicy aftertaste, which is so typical of the Grüner Veltiner of 110 different Veltliner varieties, is also evident here.
