Tenuta San Guido is located on the Etruscan coast between Livorno and Grosseto, in the Maremma, and stretches for 13 kilometres from the sea to the inland. San Guido can be considered one of Italy's iconic wineries.

The 2023 "Le Difese? includes Cabernet from both "Sassicaia? and "Guidalberto,? as well as Sangiovese from Montosoli and Rufina in Chianti Classico. Fresh, clear, fragrant, and juicy, it shows notes of violets, cherries, red berries, cassis, forest floor, and underbrush. The freshness continues on the palate, joined by elegance, crisp acidity, and wonderful juiciness, with chalky tannins. A fabulous entry into the estate's portfolio.
