There are now also vineyards in Sonoma, such as the Freestone Coastal vineyards. Their reliably steady morning fog is perfect for growing Chardonnay. The 2019 vintage is a classic Chardonnay vintage with golden fruit, radiantly fresh acidity and a fine mix of flavours including quince, smoked almond, beeswax and mineral salinity. Now - and certainly at its peak for another 5 years. The Wine Advocate awarded it a proud 96+ points.
