Winery Stiegelmar Stiegelmar 2019
This cuvée of Zweigelt (50%), Blaufränkisch (35%) and Cabernet Sauvignon bears the name of the family. At seven to 27 years old, the vines are still young, but produce a fabulous wine. The Zweigelt comes from the Goldberg vineyard, the Blaufränkisch from the Altenberg vineyard, both of which are characterized by ferruginous red gravel. The Cabernet from the south-facing Ungerberg and Altenberg vineyards on calcareous sand and loamy soil brings maximum concentration and maturity. The "Stiegelmar? was matured for 24 months in barriques. The dark garnet-red wine smells of cherries, blackberries and blackcurrants, vanilla, pipe tobacco and chocolate. Precious woods and chocolate also prevail on the palate. The fruit is juicy and fleshy, the wine is dark, mineral and long.
