The South Tyrolean Cantina Terlan proves year after year that top-class wines can also come from cooperatives. For example, with its legendary Sauvignon Blanc Quarz, which - rather unusually for cooperative wines - is also bottled in large formats. We offer the 2021 vintage in a 3-liter double magnum. Single-varietal Sauvignon Blanc, hand-picked, rigorously selected, aged for 9 months - half in large wooden barrels and half in stainless steel tanks - on the fine lees. On the nose and palate, the "Quarz? has juicy exotic fruit (mango, papaya, lime), plus herbs and a fine, salty minerality with a hint of flintstone. A Sauvignon Blanc of the reference class.

Terlan Winery

In the Etsch Valley, which was characterised by large estates at the time, the founding of a cooperative was simply "revolutionary". in 1893, 24 winegrowers joined forces. Today the Terlan Winery has 140 members. On a cultivated area of about 190 ha, 30% red and 70% white wines thrive.
