Family winery Tement Südsteiermark DAC Morillon Muschelkalk 2022
Paradeiser, Ribisel, Karfiol - Austria has many autochthonous words, especially in the culinary field. This also applies to Chardonnay, which is often called Morillon here. Shell limestone and Chardonnay is usually a promising combination - and this is also true of Tement's Morillon. It comes across as herbal and nutty, with the same smoky, salty minerality that is so often found in Tement wines. Yellow fruit is paired with vegetal notes and a hint of butter, combining to create a pleasant juiciness that is countered by a certain coolness and lively acidity. Nota bene: the Tements can also do Chardonnay, and how!
