Pavie Macquin's direct neighbor has basically developed in a similar way. The excellent terroir with its limestone soils is now used to produce mineral, elegant and hedonistic wines. Until a few years ago, the wines from this 1er Cru Classé vineyard were somewhat more powerful with sometimes a little too much power and wood. Today things are different, and the 2021 proves this impressively with its predominantly elegant red berry fruit and salty minerality!

Château Troplong Mondot

Château Troplong Mondot was founded in the 18th century. More recently, it was the late Christine Valete who helped the château to new fame with her commitment from the 1980s onwards. Together with oenologist Michelle Roland, she led Troplong Mondot to the top. This was followed in 2006 by the promotion to the Premiers Grands Crus Classés.
