Château Lafite Rothschild 1er GCC Pauillac Halbe 2022

Bordeaux, France, Red wine, wine cuvée
0.375 l, Item no. 12761

The highest-rated wine on average from what is arguably the greatest vintage of all time. The great winemaker Erik Kohler has earned 100 points from Wine Advocate for the third time, following 2018 and 2019. In addition, the same rating was also given by Decanter, Fallstaff, James Suckling, Jean Marc Quarin, and Jeb Dunnack. This wine is pure sensuality! In these intense and warm vintages, Lafite always manages to produce an elegant, dancing, and extremely hedonistic wine. Without heat, without heaviness or monstrosity. Just this wonderful Lafite beauty with the intoxicating aromas of cassis, violets, and cedar wood. A monument for eternity!

Château Lafite-Rothschild

There are supposed to be people who have no interest whatsoever in wine. And even they "of course" know the name "Lafite-Rothschild" and know that it is one of the most famous wineries of all. Some may also have picked up that a bottle from the estate of Thomas Jefferson fetched a price of 160,000 dollars at an auction in 1985.
