Special wines grow on the limestone clay soils of this small Clos des Quarts! The winery's top wine, made from very old vines, was upgraded to 1er Cru a few years ago. The 2021 vintage produces tremendous tension with its almost vibrant acidity. Added to this is the chalky minerality and well-integrated wood, which provides a slight creaminess. An extremely exciting wine that is worth remembering!

It all began in 2003, when Maconnais winemaker Olivier Merlin had the opportunity to buy grapes from the Clos de Quarts. In 2012, he was offered the chance to acquire the vineyard and convinced none other than Dominique Lafon to tackle the project together.
