Tenuta di Biserno Lodovico Toscana Rosso IGT Magnum 2017

In keeping with the hot year, the 2017 edition of Lodovico from Tenuta di Biserno has a deep dark colour and equally ripe fruit. This is accompanied by an intense mix of spices, rum balls, dried plums, dried meat and tobacco. 90% Cabernet Franc and 10% Petit Verdot make up the cuvée, with a total extract of an impressive 32.45 g/l testifying to the exceptional conditions of the year and the almost brutal concentration of the wine. A bright acidity of just under 5 g/l prevents this Super Tuscan from the Maremma from appearing too broad or even strenuous on the palate. A masterpiece from Antinori that is as rare – only 7,000 bottles were produced – as it is brilliant.
