78% Cabernet Sauvignon, 15% Merlot, 4% Petit Verdot and 3% Cabernet Franc form the basis for the Pahlmeyer flagship. Concentration, complexity and ageability are the maxims of vinification. The best grapes that the estate's four different vineyards have to offer are used in the Cuvee. The wine is then matured in 100% new wood. The 2019 vintage fascinates with a captivating mix of blueberry, cassis and plum, complemented by saddle leather, cedar wood and earthy notes that add depth. On the palate, the wine shines with an ever-changing, never-ending interplay of red and black fruit, silky smooth, ultra-fine tannins and multi-layered spicy notes.
