Baigorri Rioja Crianza Mendi DOCa 2020
The "Mendi' is a Rioja Crianza, blending 90% Tempranillo with 10% other classic varieties from the region. The Rioja was aged for 14 months in French and American oak barrels. This wine is a great Crianza that is both classic and modern. Classic in its wood ageing, which is noticeable here in the form of oak, vanilla and coconut notes. Modern in its extraction, which provides juicy and fresh dark fruit. There is plenty of cherry juice and wild berries, structure, fine tannins and finesse.
