Domaine Emmanuel Rouget Echezeaux Grand Cru 1995

The 1995 Echézeaux reveals the full depth of a mature Grand Cru from Emmanuel Rouget. The nose unfolds with tomato essence and truffle, black cherry, dried roses, forest floor and damp earth, accompanied by a subtle hint of leather and Assam tea. Silky and broad on the palate, with melted tannins and fine acidity. With air, tobacco, spices and a hint of dried fruit develop. The wine is contemplative, harmonious and calm – a great Burgundy in its meditative phase of maturity.
