In 1913, Louis Latour (together with Louis Jadot) acquired the "Les Demoiselles? vineyard. Originally part of the northern foothills of the Puligny Montrachet vineyard "Les Caillerets,? it became the Grand Cru parcel Chevalier Montrachet "Les Demoiselles? at the end of the 1930s. Connoisseurs now consider it one of the best parts of Chevalier Montrachet. The wine's delicate yet powerful character, with its aromas of peach and roasted almonds, makes it the perfect accompaniment to lobster Thermidor.
