"Bourgogne Pinot Noir' is the regional appellation from which Louis Latour produces its estate wines. The vines grow in clay and limestone soils and are on average 25 years old. Fermentation takes place traditionally in open vats, followed by ageing in stainless steel for one year. The Pinot Noir has a bright ruby red colour with medium transparency. It is reminiscent of red and dark berries, cherries, liquorice and a hint of undergrowth. On the palate, the wine is round and balanced, fresh and sensual with notes of blackcurrants and liquorice.
