Alain Thiénot
The famous, family-run Champagne estate was founded by Alain Thiénot, who acquired around 30 hectares of land in the 1980s - Grands Crus in the large historic valley in Aÿ and in the Côte des Blancs as well as Premiers Crus in Dizy and Cumières and on the Coteaux south of Epernay. Alain's father ran the champagne producer Irroy at the time. Today, Thiénot is run by his son Stanislav and his wife Garance.
Since 2008, the family has been supported by agricultural engineer and oenologist Nicolas Uriel. He has been responsible for the production and design of the cuvées as cellar master since 2017.
the Thiénots describe "aromatic clarity" as the signature of their champagnes. To achieve this and "protect the integrity of the fruit", Alain was one of the first in Champagne to use temperature-controlled stainless steel tanks.
