Dominus Estate Othello 2018
Younger vines from the Dominus centrepiece Napanook provide the grape material for the third wine from the Napa Valley estate of Pomerol legend Christian Moueix. Blackcurrant and fruit liquorice form its aromatic foundation. It grows on the same pebbly soil as its bigger siblings "Dominus' and "Napanook'. And just as with the latter, you shouldn't be fooled by the price and third wine status - because the "Othello' also offers an outrageous amount of wine experience for its price range. Although it is fruitier and certainly not nearly as complex, it still has remarkable complexity and depth for its very early accessibility.
