Champagne Taittinger Comtes de Champagne Blanc de Blancs 2008

Champagne, France, Champagne, wine cuvée
0.75 l

The top cuvée from the famous Taittinger champagne house is vinified exclusively from Chardonnay and only from Grand Cru vineyards. The nose is overwhelmed by a variety of aromas of ripe pears and limes, orange blossom and elderberry, as well as the finest brioche and roasted flavours. On the palate, the fine champagne is very complex and structured with great creaminess. The whole thing ends in an almost endlessly long, salty finish. JAMES SUCKLING expressed his enthusiasm with 100 points!

Taittinger

The traditional family business is based in Reims and emerged from the Forest & Fourneaux winery in the early 1930s. It was founded by Pierre-Charles Taittinger, who was a young Parisian officer stationed at the Château de la Marquetterie in Champagne in 1915. 17 years later, he bought this château and joined forces with his brother-in-law Paul Evêque to take over Forest-Fourneaux two years later.
