Château Cheval Blanc
If one had to list the five greatest Bordeaux wines, Château Cheval Blanc would almost certainly be among them. It is the primus inter pares of Saint-Émilion.

Terroirs like that of Cheval Blanc always create balance and equilibrium, even in very warm vintages like 2018. Not everyone likes the sometimes somewhat cooked, thicker fruit of such hot vintages, especially in this appellation. There is certainly no sign of this in Cheval Blanc. It was already wonderfully balanced and harmonious en primeur and the high proportion of Cabernet Franc will allow this wine to mature for a long time, as always.
