Located on the border between St. Estèphe and Pauillac and opposite Château Lafite Rothschild, Cos d'Estournel has always leaned more towards Pauillac in terms of style. It also has a rather avant-garde style by St. Estèphe standards - which suits the architecture of the château. The 2019 "Cos" is also very hedonistic, almost beguiling, with the wonderfully ripe fruit of blackcurrants and red cherries. It has an enormous minerality that leads to a seemingly endless finish.
