Château d'Yquem 1er GCC Superieur Sauternes 2016

Yquem is always in a class of its own, as the Sauternes classification indicates. The château is the only one to be classified as a Premier Cru Supérieur. If other top Sauternes are a little too opulent in some vintages, Yquem is always finer, more elegant and has greater finesse. Exotic fruits such as melon, papaya and mango are complemented by almost Riesling-like fruit acidity and incredible balance and length. The incredible ageing potential of several decades is also legendary. Fascinating when young, fine notes of orange and honey are added with age.
