Château Lagrange
Château Lagrange, classified as Troisième Grand Cru Classé, is located on the Médoc peninsula, in the Saint-Julien appellation. Its history as a winery basically began (only) in the 18th century.
With its finesse, elegance and great ageing potential, this château is almost archetypal for this appellation in the north of the Médoc - and for Bordeaux in general. With 118 hectares under vine, Lagrange is one of the largest wine estates in Bordeaux. In the legendary classification of 1855, the château with the distinctive tower was categorised as 3ème Grand Cru Classé. In this outstanding 2019 vintage, Lagrange once again demonstrates its full class. Full of tension, with very fine tannins and wonderful fruit, the estate has probably produced one of its best vintages. And at a (still) affordable price! Robert Parker awarded it 95 points.
