With the 2018 vintage, the dry flagship of Schloss Johannisberg once again proves its exceptional position in the Rheingau. Year after year, top-class Rieslings mature on the quartzite rock covered in loess loam of the 35-hectare monopole site. Fully ripe yellow stone fruit and exotic fruits combined with the finesse of the oldest pure Riesling vineyard in the world create a magnificent taste experience. Aged for 30 months on the fine lees in traditional wooden barrels made from the estate's own oak, the Goldlack perfectly balances baroque fullness of flavor, vibrant minerality and finely chiselled acidity.
