Winery Clemens Busch Marienburg Raffes VDP.Große Lage Riesling 2019
The series of highly complex, dense, concentrated "Raffes" is getting longer and longer. The 2019 joins a magnificent phalanx of opulent yet very precise Rieslings from the high-altitude Raffes vineyard in the Fahrlay area of Marienburg. The "Raffes" hovers between things, is not really dry, but also not residual sweet, does not really have much acidity but a fantastic acid presence. The noble elegance of this wine, the spicy depth and intensity in this wine, rated 98 points by ROBERT PARKER and 99 points by JAMES SUCKLING, is magnificent. "The essence of Moselle wine," writes Stuart Pigott.
