The Zieregg offers a great terroir not only for Sauvignon Blanc, but also for Chardonnay. The 2019 "Morillon Zieregg? is probably one of the best Chardonnays ever produced in Austria. To quote Stephan Reinhardt, who gave the wine 98 points at Robert Parker: "A Zieregg with incredible energy and tension. The finish is astounding, the wine is overwhelming and unrivaled in all of southern Styria. An absolutely fabulous Morillon?. Indeed, a Chardonnay that shows incredible depth, complexity and energy and yet has such a fascinating independence of character that it shies away from no comparison, but is not comparable either.
