Penfolds Superblend 802 A gift box 2018

The Superblend "802 A? is another expression of the spirit of innovation that has driven Chief Winemaker Peter Gago for more than 30 years. Here, 68% Cabernet Sauvignon meets 32% Shiraz. Grapes come from Barossa Valley, McLaren Vale, Coonawarra, Wrattonbully, Robe, and Clare Valley. They were matured separately by parcel for 22 months in new American oak barriques and only then blended. Tyson Stelzer writes in the Australian Wine Companion: "It's as if the grandeur of the 707, the Grange, and the 389 are united in one dramatic whole,? awarding 98 points.
