A second wine with depth and character. All the more so since Château Montrose decided a few years ago to make its grand vin exclusively from plots on the banks of the Gironde. However, due to the higher proportion of Merlot, it is softer in tannin and redder in fruit. Added to this are beguiling floral notes and a fine minerality on the finish.

Château Montrose

In the Saint-Estèphe appellation, on the banks of the Gironde, lies the Deuxième-Grand-Cru-Classé-Château Montrose. Wine was only cultivated here comparatively late, since 1815. Almost 200 years later, the entrepreneurs Martin and Olivier Bouygues acquired the vineyard and invested with the aim of preserving the historic Bordeaux heritage.
