When the vineyards of the Médoc were classified in 1855, Sociando-Mallet was not yet included. It only became known when Jean Gautreau discovered it in 1969 and realised its full potential.

The Haut Médoc winery, located directly on the border with St. Estèphe, has produced an outstanding wine in 2022 that is very reminiscent of its own legends from 1990 or 2003. In warm years like these, it can show its true class. Ripe fruit, mineral notes, and wonderful floral notes characterize the complex and powerful 2022!
