Château Haut-Brion
Haut-Brion in Pessac/Bordeaux is the only Château outside the Médoc to achieve Grand Cru Classé status with the 1855 classification.
The best-known second wines of the Premiers are Carruades de Lafite and Les Forts de Latour. However, Clarence de Haut Brion is very underestimated. The grapes from somewhat younger vines and its own parcels provide a completely different character to its big brother. Here too, the aromas are dominated by black berry fruit. However, Clarence is very soft and supple on the palate, but still has a lot of structure and complexity! Nevertheless, it is a great charmer that is already in its first drinking phase.
