For a long time, opinions were divided on this wine. For a long time, it was only for power fans. The excellent terroir has also allowed it to rise to a 1er Cru Classé B. But it was always a bit monstrous for the more refined. Things have changed at Clos Fourtet. The 2021 in particular shows a shift towards more elegance, finesse and hedonism. There is also a fascinating florality that supports the juicy fruit and fine minerality at the end. It has nevertheless retained its power...just a little more delicate!
