Stromberg is the steepest and rockiest vineyard in Tim Fröhlich's portfolio. The wine he crafts here in his distinctive style perfectly mirrors this special origin. This is no superficial fruit bomb, but a highly complex Riesling of profound depth. Black volcanic rock and 50–80-year-old vines?about half of them ungrafted?planted on wild, craggy slopes, form the foundation for a Riesling bursting with energy and immense tension. A subtle smoky note is gently countered by fine fruit and even more prominent herbal nuances. This is Porphyry-grown Riesling at its highest level of perfection!

The Schäfer-Fröhlich family winery in Bockenau on the Nahe has been in existence for around 200 years. Today it is run by Tim Fröhlich and his wife Nicole. But the parents Karin and Hans-Dieter Fröhlich already brought the winery forward with the acquisition of outstanding vineyards and the production of distinctive Rieslings.
