Pym-Rae Napa Valley 2018
A rising star in the Napa Valley Cabernet sky. The slightly cryptic name goes back to its first owner - Hollywood star Robin Williams. After purchasing the estate, he named it after the middle names of his two children. After his untimely death, the Tesseron family - owners of Pontet-Canet - took over Pym Rae and kept the name out of respect for Williams' memory. Bordeaux noblesse meets Napa Cabernet. A liaison that met with critical acclaim from the outset. This was also the case with the second vintage under new management, the 2018. Dark fruit (blackcurrant, blueberry and blackberry), perfectly balanced with plenty of herbal spice, truffles and chocolate scored between 97 and 99 points. A transatlantic dream team.
