This 3ème Cru Classé from Margaux is a wine for individualists and purists. It is rather herbal and spicy and somewhat atypical for the appellation. It has great character and needs some time, but then rewards with great complexity and finesse. The 2020 vintage makes it a true flatterer. It delights with cool flavours of predominantly black fruits and is extremely balanced with a long finish, which will delight Margaux fans once again.

Château d'Issan is undoubtedly one of the most famous wineries in the Médoc. This is due both to the longstanding excellence of the 3ème Grand Cru Classé de Margaux and to its 800-year history and imposing building, whose former fortified character is still recognisable.
