La Soufrandière Pouilly-Vinzelles Magnum 2021

The 2021 "Pouilly-Vinzelles" vintage is characterised by a subtle aroma reminiscent of salted lemons, green apples and pears, white flowers and verbena. On the palate, the Chardonnay is charming and much more open than the nose would suggest. There is still a hint of yeast in the yellow citrus fruit, which is accompanied by more yellow than green stone fruit. The acidity structure is prominent but more silky and sensual than in the Saint-Vérans. This is undoubtedly a fine Chardonnay, which scores particularly well on the finish with a successful blend of gentleness and pressure, juicy fruit and slight salinity, with a slight peppery flavour.
