Champagne Taittinger Comtes de Champagne Blanc de Blancs 2013

The Wine Advocate praises its impressively fresh, minty character, noting plenty of white fruit (peach, apple), marzipan, citrus and classic autolysis notes, and awards it 96 points. James Suckling also detects fennel and white pepper and awards it two points higher. We particularly like the review in Decanter, which praises the calm and composed manner in which the Taittinger displays its length, intensity and depth, and sees the potential for a true Blanc de Blancs classic. This champagne certainly has the potential for storage and further maturation until the middle of this century.
