DAOU Vineyards Patrimony Cabernet Sauvignon 2019

California - Paso Robles, United States, Red wine, Cabernet Sauvignon
0.75 l

Paso Dobles, located between Los Angeles and San Franciso, has established itself as one of the top areas for modern Californian Cabernets in recent years. One of, if not the driving force behind this has been DAOU - and at the top of this estate's quality pyramid is the Patrimony line. The 2019 Cabernet Sauvignon "Patrimony' presents itself as the perfect ambassador for the qualities of the region and the winery. A complex, highly typical aroma of cool mint and eucalyptus, lots of dark berry fruit, cedar and tobacco as well as pencil shavings are paired with a fleshy, full-bodied structure to create an exceptional Cabernet experience. The extraordinarily long finish confirms the impression of quality, as do the ratings from The Wine Advocate (97 p.) and Jeb Dunnuck (99 p.).

DAOU Vineyards

"Daou" is basically nothing less than synonymous with the highest quality, highly decorated Bordeaux-style red wines from Paso Roble, the wine-growing region between the West Coast metropolises of Los Angeles and San Francisco. The vineyards of the brothers Daniel and Georges Daou are located in the western hills of this area.
